Will Allen refuses to give in.
A car accident in February 2019 left him paralyzed from the chest down. The accident stalled his baseball career before it had a chance to take off. Will was only 7 at the time.
In the two years since the accident he’s never asked “why me?” Instead, Will wakes up with a smile every day and dominates the opportunities that each new day brings. It’s the way he attacks those adventures that have inspired countless people of all ages.
Will Allen has a smile and a spirit that won’t quit. Now, the WillPower Community Foundation is helping other kids that have experienced traumatic and life-threatening experiences. The Foundation provides financial aid and just as importantly community support to kids who need it the most.
Will has his support team. Now, he’s looking for teammates that need to hear… THEY CAN DO IT TOO.
HITFORTH is proud to partner with Will’s foundation to host a Home Run Derby. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the WillPower Community Foundation.
HOW IT WORKS
ENTRY DONATION: $139 PER TEAM
TEAM SIZE: Max of 11
TIMES AND AGE DIVISIONS:
6:00 - 9U
6:30 - 10U
7:00 - 11U
7:30 - 12U
8:00 - 13U
8:30 - 14U
*Only 3 spots available per age group.
Teams will have 7 minutes to warmup in their HITFORTH habitat (aka cage).
Teams will then have 15 minutes to hit as many HRs on HITTRAX as possible, with each player getting 10 swings before rotating to the next player.
Each team will play on identical, age-appropriate fields.
HITTRAX will record team totals and the HITFORTH staff will record individual totals.
Prizes for team and and individual winners in each age group.
